The Kühn Choir of Prague is a top vocal ensemble that performs at concerts and festivals, and collaborates with many orchestras and organizers. However, the choir itself also initiates cultural events and thematic projects that enrich Czech cultural life and highlight the importance of choral art.

Since 2009, the Kühn Choir of Prague has organised its own concert series, the long-term aim of which is to present the breadth of choral music and, above all, to regularly initiate and perform new works by Czech and foreign composers. In 2019, on the occasion of the choir’s 60th anniversary, this aim was realised with the release of a CD featuring three recent works dedicated to the choir.

The Kühn Choir of Prague regularly receives grant support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic, the Prague City Hall and the OSA Foundation for the implementation of its own concert series.

In addition, the choir boasts great success in international and intercultural contexts. It has twice received support for its projects from the EEA and Norway Grants. The first supported Norwegian project, called Let´s Sing!, took place in 2015–2017. Its theme was the juxtaposition of Nordic and Czech contemporary music and artistic collaboration with a Norwegian choirmaster. Project outcomes included concerts, workshops, as well as a live concert broadcast for the international radio network EBU, and an audio recording of the works created for the project.

A second Norwegian project, Platform for Singing, is currently underway and continues the line of presenting contemporary choral art. Notably, this project includes the organisation of a composition competition.
